#ABATECHSHOW and the #ClioMeetup
ABATECHSHOW is this week. It is arguably the biggest legal technology conference of the year, and one of our favorites. Held at the Chicago Hilton at 720 South Michigan Avenue, it spans two days and covers all manner of legal technology topics. Paperless and productivity, social media, collaboration, android. iOS, tablets, if you can name it and there’s a good bet there is a session, if not a whole track, about it.
The keynote speaker is garnering a lot of attention, this year. The speaker is David Pogue, the well known, award-winning personal technology columnist at The New York Times. His topic? “Disruptive Tech: What’s New, What’s Coming, and How it Will Change Everything.”
Needless to say, it should be interesting.
While last year saw the launch of the ABATECHSHOW app, we’re pleased to see it has returned. We’re curious to know how it compares to last year, if you’re using it more this year and how it compares to other conference apps.

#NYSBA and Clio – Giveaway, Talk, & #ClioMeetup
We’ll be busy this week at the New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting.
First, be sure to swing by our Booth 5 and register for our NYSBA Tech Giveaway. We’re giving away an iPad to one lucky attendee. New York legal professionals are also eligible to enter, even if you can’t make it to the convention.
Secondly, our CEO, Jack Newton, will be speaking at NYSBA on Thursday. He is part of a panel talk, ‘The Law Firm of Tomorrow Today.’ Panelists will discuss how new methodologies and technologies impact attorney ethics and professionalism. Be sure to stop by and get CLE credit for this talk.
Lastly, Clio is hosting a #ClioMeetup! We’re gathering at Connolly’s Pub & Restaurant on Thursday, January 24 at 6:00 PM.

Yep. That’s right! We’re coming to Houston, Texas this week for the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting! While we’re in town, we’re hosting a #cliomeetup at Cork Soakers.
