#cliotraining Tip: Use Clio to Track Your CLE Hours
This week’s #cliotraining tip comes from Clio Certified Consultant Drew Mathers of Almost-Painless Computing.
At almost every legal conference, lawyers are asked to fill out cards for Continuing Legal Education, or CLE, credit. Every state has a minimum mandatory CLE requirement that can be met in various ways such as attending conferences, webinars and presentations at local bar associations. While you can pay for applications to track CLE credits, you can also use Clio to track them. Here’s how:
- Log into your Clio account.
- Create an Activity Description. As an example:

- Create a new Matter, adding “CLE Tracking” as a New Contact. As an example:

- Add time as you would with any other Matter and keep track of your CLE hours.
